Retired Post Office/BT engineer. Retired as TO from Madley Satellite Earth Station.

Amateur Callsign: G4ETQ   [since 1976]

Also hold maritime GMDSS GOC and Restricted HF/VHF certificates.

Interests: Amateur Radio, Maritime radio,  CW, Ships, working Antarctica.  Meteorology and Astronomy.

Notable visits that made my clock tick faster: Coast Stns: GLD, GIL, GNF ,GKA, GLV, GPK, GCC, GKZ. [ Sad they are SK now].

Ship visits: British Antarctic ships RRS James Clark Ross, RRS Ernest Shackleton, RRS John Biscoe, RRS Bransfield.

Have listened on 500/2182 since I was 15 years old, now 70. [So glad Morse still lives at sea thanks to Amateur radio.] [Marconi would be happy!]

Now part of Falmouth Lifeboat and Lizard Marconi Wireless Station.
