Our good friend, Om Geoffrey POWELL, very fashionated about the present and the past of communications at sea, reported me his last contact with a /MM station on board a Container ship, I received the following message by Geoff:

Please Alfredo, receive the following CW contact with Wolfgang, 4 and 5 rst contact CW, 18 Nov 2014 – freq 18.086 kHz, 18.45…GMT.. Card enclosed , The conditions were poor, his position  was off Jeddah Red sea ,the ship was the… New York Express container ship.. I used a IC 718 , to versa tuner and Doublet ant at 50 feet  80 watt power..from a Marconi straight key…, Hope this is useful for your site My best wishes Geoff.M1EDF..
