SP1NQW/MM – Bulk Carrier “PODLASIE”

Dear Sparks,

since some months on the bands there is “on the air” SP1NQW/MM OM Les trasmitting from Bulk Carrier M/V PODLASIE one of the ship of the famous Shipping Company POLSTEAM. Yesterday on late evening I made QSO with him at QTR 21:26 UTC on 20 meters band, Les was near the coast of Uruguay (Montevideo) and his RST was 579. During the QSO he said me he has been Radio Officer for long time and after GMDSS entrance he decided to take the license as Navigating Officer, now he is the Second Mate on M/V PODLASIE. Have a GW looking for his CQ call.
