GMDSS and W/T conference – Italy 18 May 2019

To All I.N.O.R.C. members and to Radio and Nautical enthusiasts

We are pleased to inform you that INORC Club has been invited by the Assonautica of Ancona to participate with its own speakers at the meeting that will take place, from 17:00 to 19:00, on Saturday 18 May 2019 at the headquarters of above mentioned Assonautica located in the Marina Dorica – touristic port QTH Ancona. The topic of the event is “The Safeguard of Human Life at Sea. From radiotelegraphy to the GMDSS system. VHF – DSC AIS. “Other guests of the Assonautica will also participate at the event, including two Senior Officers of the Port Authority who will describe the modern satellite system that replaced the  rescue frequencies of the old Radiotelegraphic system, there will also be a representative of the Territorial Inspectorate of  Telecommunications and other guests chosen by Assonautica. Local and national press journalists will also be present. In memory of this event there will be a special Postmark, first day, on INORC envelope.
For the specificity of the subject the I.N.O.R.C. Executive Committee  delegates to speak Mr. Piergiorgio Nonnis, former Chief R.T. Petty Officer of the Italian Navy and Biagio Venanzoni, ex R/O of the Merchant Navy and former Operator of Coast Radio Station “ROMA PT RADIO- IAR”. Considering the particularity and timeless importance of the subject that always arouses keen interest, you are all invited to participate.
All Members are advised that taking advantage of the occasion will follow the Annual Assembly of I.N.O.R.C. whose program and procedures will be communicated separately.
