Marine Receiver – MARCONI MERCURY

here a short review with some details of the famous receiver Marconi Mercury, because of its band coverage, very often, it was mounted in tandem with Marconi Elettra with full coverage of short waves.
Type:12 tube, general purpose marine receiver. Also designated NS601
Mercury covers: 15 KHz to 40 KHz and 100 KHz to 4 MHz.
Frequency Range: 15 KHz to 25 MHz between the two receivers.

- 100 – 250 kc/s
- 245 – 645 kc/s
- 635 – 1650 kc/s
- 1550 – 4000 kc/s
Power Input: 110 or 220 VDC ; or 230 VAC 50 Hz ; or 24 VDC using power units.

Single-conversion on Bands 1-3, double-conversion with 1st IF 4500kHz on Bands 4, 5
Selectivity – Variable from 8 KHz to 150 Hz in four steps.
